PAPUA NEW GUINEA, dogs eye teeth money as a necklace, (49 teeth in the necklace), (Opitz p.41). Very fine.

Opitz notes that a dog's tooth was worth 10 taro roots or 10 coconuts and 100 teeth were worth $5 or one pig in 1929 on the Admiralty Islands.
