GREECE, Lesbos, Potamos and Plomarion, countermarked coinage on a Turkey, Abdul Mejid (A.H. 1255-1277, A.D. 1839-1861, forty para, AH 1255 year 20 (1859), (KM.670); the countermark of heart shape ãO/T (Potamos) on the reverse with additional symbols of the tughra countermark and ã (Council of the Elders of Plomarion), (Wilski 'Countermarks on Ottoman coins' No.G16-26c + G4-04 + A T-02). Very fine and rare.
