ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 218-222, (6.522 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around ADVENTVS AVGVSTI, Elagabalus on horse to left, raising right hand and holding spear, (S.2079A, RIC 57, C.5). Well centred, extremely fine and very rare.
