TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 1042 Pte G.A.Haythorne 6/Bn A.I.F. on first medal, 1042 A/C QMS G.A.Haythorne 6 Bn A.I.F. on second and third medals. All medals impressed. The 1914-15 Star has had the suspender ring removed and now has a pin backed brooch mount (posthumously applied). There is a 1mm hole left point of the Star, probably worn by a loved one for many years for a soldier who unfortunately died of wounds in the last stages of the war. Very fine.

George Albert Haythorne. Enl.29Aug1914 D.O.W.08Sep1918. Wounded at Mont St Quentin.
