NERO, (A.D. 54-68), silver denarius, issued c.64-65, Rome mint, (3.04 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, rev. Jupiter seated left on throne, holding Victory, thunderbolt and long sceptre, IVPPITER CVSTOS around, (S.1943, RIC 53, BMC 74). A superb condition example, dull grey patina, good extremely fine and extremely rare in this condition.
