CARAUSIUS, (A.D. 287-293), silver denarius, uncertain mint, issued c.A.D.287-293, (3.320 grams), obv. laureate cuirassed bust of Carausius to right, around IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, rev. around PA[X] [A]VG, Pax standing left, holding olive branch and sceptre, (cf.S.3568, RSC 75 [£2250 VF]). Portrait good very fine, some legend weakness, off centred on the reverse, very rare.
