MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.352 grams), Amphipolis III mint, issued c. 323/2-315 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, wreath below, above **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider Pl.46, 15, [Pl.46 same dies], p.124], SNG ANS -, Troxell L6). Attractive round, very fine and very rare.
