Ares head to right laureate, **AREOS* before, rev. eagle standing to left, **[MAMERT]I NWN, DI* in left field, (cf.S.1139, SNG ANS -, SNG Cop. -, Sarstrom 'The Coinage of the Mamertines' cf.62 Series IV, Group A **DI* type unlisted). Earthy dark green patina, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and an unpublished variety.
