CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), silver cistophorus, Ephesus mint, issued 41-42, (11.132 grams), obv. bare head of Claudius to left, around TI CLAVD CAES AVG, rev. [D]IAN EPHE either side of tetrastyle temple of the Ephesian Diana, containing clt-statue of the goddess, (S.1839 [£850 VF], RIC 118, RPC 2222, RSC 30). Nearly very fine/very fine and scarce.
