LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 163, (13.514 grams), obv. radiate headed bust of Lucius Verus, to right, around IMP CAES L AVREL VERVS AVG, rev. around FELIC A[VG TR P] III, COS II in exergue, SC across, ship with pilot and rowers to left, with mast and sail, (S.5392, RIC 1329, C.70). Dark green patina, very fine and very scarce.

With May 1974 ticket from Spink & Son, with marked price of Å“130. 1919 for 3.50 marks.
