CHINA, Token, Hall and Holtz, Shanghai, Bread and Bisciut Makers, one loaf (Prid. 326). Good very fine and rare.

This well known company was established in Shanghai in 1848, during the time it was a Treaty Port. The Tokens were struck in England about 1895-1900. 'One loaf' of bread was equal to one pound avoirdupois.
