HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 119, Rome mint, (3.29 grams), obv. laureate, draped on far shoulder, head to right of Hadrian, around IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, rev. Salus seated left, feeding from patera a snake coiled round altar, P M TR P COS III around, (S.1095 [£80], RIC 98, RSC 1151). Well centred on the obverse, good very fine and scarce in this condition.
