THRACE, Island of, Thasos, (after 148 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.294 grams), obv. head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and band across forehead, rev. Herakles naked standing to left, holding club, lion skin over left arm, to right **HRAKLEOUS*, to left **SWTHROS, below **QASIWN, M to left, (cf.S.1759, SNG Cop. 1039). Weakly struck, otherwise fine/good fine.
