SYRIA, Seleucis & Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Nero (A.D. 54-68), silver tetradrachm, (14.520 grams), obv. laureate head to left of Nero, **NERWN KAISAUS SEBASTOS*, rev. **ETOUS BIR I (year 112 of Caesarian Era = A.D. 63, regnal year 10), eagle standing to left, on thunderbolt, wings spread, palm branch in front (cf.S.618, Prieur 90, RPC 4190). Bright and very fine.

Ex Goldbuyers Wellington coin dealer in 1980's - 1990's, Antioch at this time was striking in good silver with a high standard of portraiture. This example provides a good portrait of Nero.
