SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.35 grams), Tyre mint, issued 133-2 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athena standing to left, holding Nike in hand and other hand on shield with Medusa head and a spear, to right **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU, and to left **EUER GETOU, to left Tyre monogram on club, IEP and A**SU* either side of club, date off flan, (cf.S.7091, Houghton ACNAC 762 [same obverse die]). Dark tone, off centred, otherwise very fine, scarce.
