ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate, al-Walid II, (A.H. 125-126) (A.D. 743-744), silver anonymous dirham, Wasit mint (on Euphrates river), A.H. 126 = A.D. 743-4, (A.138, cf.M.61, BMC 576). Slightly crinkled, very fine and rare.
The issue for this ruler can only be attributed to this caliph from this mint in 125-6 when it has 5 annulets in the margin.
