With research. Patrick Eagan served seven years in New Zealand before going with his regiment to Australia. The 12th Foot (East Suffolks) were on gold escort duties in Victoria and were involved in the attack on the Eureka Stockade. Ex.Spink Australia Sale 27, lot 2473.
