PORTSMOUTH, Jervis halfpenny, 1797 Union Jack/Fleet of Ships sailing, in ex Cape St. Vincent Feby 14, 1797 (D&H 67) edge 'A Valentine Presented to Spain by Adml. Jervis'. Unusually fine for this, hints of red, light pink brown patina and rare in this condition.
Purchased from Baldwin in 1978.
