GERMANY. Third Reich. Cross of Honour of the German Mother First Class. Post war manufacture. France. Vichy Croix de Guerre L.V.F. Good quality post war manufacture.First award very fine. Enamel chips on second award, otherwise near very fine.
The 'Legion Volontaire Francaise' consisted of volunteers who fought on the eastern front against the Russians in 1941. The original award was rare, as after the war recipients were prosecuted and executed or sentenced to long prison sentences. Even possession of this award could be a capital offence.
