MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.2 grams), `Babylon' mint, issued 325-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, grapes to left, under throne monogram of **F*W, dotted border, to right **ALEXAND[ROU], (cf.S.6713, Price 3641, BMC 3641a-b, M.692). Off centred on reverse, otherwise good very fine.
