EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), AE 24, (11.7 grams), Tyre mint, issued 285-246 B.C., obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front club, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, between legs uncertain letters, (cf.S.7786, Sv. 708, SNG Cop. 495). Attractive black patina, good very fine.
