AUGUSTUS AS OCTAVIAN, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, uncertain Italian mint (probably Brundisium, maybe Rome), issued 32-29 B.C. (3.81 grams), obv. Octavian head bare to right, in dotted circle, rev. CAESAR on left curved downwards and DIVI F on right curved upwards, Pax standing to left draped, holding olive branch in left hand and cornucopiae in right hand, (S.-, RIC 252 var., C.69, cf.BMC 605). Bankers mark HL monogram stamped on obverse field, slightly off centre, otherwise nearly very fine/fine and rare.
