AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, Ephesus mint, issued about 27 B.C., obv. CAISAR to left, large bare head of Augustus to right, rev. AVGV / STVS in two lines across field within a laurel wreath, (S.-, RIC 485, Ash. 713, RPC 2231 [p.381, Pl.99], Howego Class 1, BMC 730). Crack across most of the coin, otherwise fine and very rare.
