NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius, issued c.66, Lugdunum mint, (21.1 grams), obv. laureate head to left of Nero, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG PONT MAX TR POT PP, rev. triumphal arch, emperor in facing quadriga above, Mars standing in niche facing to left, S C in exergue, (S.683, RIC 500, BMC 333, WCN 452). Very porous field from cleaning, flan crack, nearly fine and a rare type.
