MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 148-9, (9.5 grams), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around AVRELIVS CAE SAR AVG PII F, rev. around TR POT III COS II, in exergue PIETAS, S C across field, Pietas standing to left, to left a child, (cf.S.1399, RIC 1293a, C.445). Weak in places, nearly very fine.
