WORLD WAR II, 2/29 Battalion A.I.F. Canteen note for one cent, No.46, signed by S.C.Hackney, Lieut Capt Adjt 2/29 Bn. Some foxing, otherwise very fine. $ 2/29th Battalion A.I.F. was taken prisoner in Malaya in 1942. Lieut Hackney was in the epic Battle of Muar in January 1942 and was severley wounded in action. His account of the massacre at Parit Salong was used as evidence at the Australian War Crimes Court at Los Negros June 1950.
