CHINA, Hsin Dynasty, Wang Mang Interregnum, 'Chuang pu ch'i pai', square shoulder and square base spade, (c.A.D. 9 -22), four characters spade money, value 700, length 44mm, (5.9 grams), (Coole 10040 Vol.7 p.197, TFP 479, Pl.54). Some green patina encrustation, otherwise good very fine and very rare.
