GROUP OF FOUR: Crimea Medal 1854 - three bars; Balaklava; Inkerman; Sebastopol; Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (VR); Medaille Militaire (France); Turkish Crimea Medal - Sardinian issue. Troop S.M. W.F.Stewart 5th Dn.Gds. First medal engraved, second medal impressed (named 'Steward') last medal depot impressed. All Crimean awards have elaborate contemporary top brooch bars. Slight edge knock on LSGCM and some enamel chipping on French award otherwise very fine. $ The Fifth Dragoon Guards were a component of the Heavy Brigade. Together with two signed and embossed bestowal certificates for the Medaille Militaire dated 20 & 23 March 1861 to: 'Monsieur William Stewart, Marechal des Logis, Chef du 6e Regiment des Dragon-Gardes, Armee Anglaise' and contemporary English translations for both documents.
