POLITICAL AND SOCIAL SERIES, slave halfpennies, chained negro kneeling in supplication 'Am I not a man and a brother'/clasped hands 'May Slavery & Oppression Cease throughout the World' (D&H 1038a,b,c, (illustrated), g (illustrated), i (illustrated, 1039a). Glossy brown finely lacquered except for 1038g which has mint red, good extremely fine-uncirculated. (6)
