SYDNEY COVE MEDALLION, 1975, in buff coloured jasper (75mm) by Wedgwood, a replica of the original model by William Hackwood first made by Wedgwood in 1789 from clay supplied from Sydney Cove, obv. four allegorical figures representing Hope, Art, Labour and Peace, ETRURIA 1789 in two lines below; rev. a backstramp representing the first Great Seal of N.S.W. 1791, officially adopted by Old Sydney Town. No.243 of a limited edition of 500 exclusively produced for Old Sydney Town, Heritage Park, Somersby. In presentation case with certificate as issued. Uncirculated.
