THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.8 grams), Lampsacus mint, issued 297-281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, before knee monogram **DX*, on far left field a herm, to right **BASILEWS* to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, M.51, Thompson 50 [pl.17, 50]). Obverse porosity, otherwise very fine.
