SYRIA, Seleucid kingdom of Antiochus II, (261-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.03 grams), Apamea mint, obv. head of Antiochus II to right, with diademed, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated to left, on omphalos, holding bow in left hand and arrow in right hand, **BASILEWS to right, ANTIOXOY to left, (cf.S.6886, Newell WSM 1142). Some surface porosity on the reverse, otherwise very fine and rare.
