SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (14.94 grams), issued A.D. 214-217, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, around [AYT] K M A **ANTWNEINO C CEB, rev. eagle standing facing, head to right, wreath in beak, between legs star above crescent, around **DHMARC EX UP[ATOC TO D], (cf.S.2649, Bellinger 33 [ANS Num. Stud. No.3], p.26, plate III,12). Slightly porous flan, otherwise extremely fine with some mint bloom, scarce.
