EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.18 grams), issued 277/6-275/4 B.C., Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front **S, around BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, (cf.S.7773, Sv. 548 [16 noted], BMC 2). Very fine/nearly very fine.
