REPUBLIC, Struck Coinage, Anonymous Series, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (6.1 grams), uncertain mint, obv. laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA incuse on tablet, (S.80, Cr.30/1, Syd. 64b). Flan crack, some surface horn silver, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.
