GREECE, Personalities of the Revolution of 1821 and War of Independence; Germanos, Archbishop of Patras, Insurrection, 1821, in bronze (44mm), Count Ioannis Kapodistrias, Governor of Greece 1828 (44mm), both by Konrad Lagge. Edge bump on first medal and some minor spotting, otherwise uncirculated. (2)

These two medals are part of a set of twelve medals struck on the occasion of the Wedding of King Otho and Queen Analia, 1836. Further reading on these medals: 'Twelve Greek Medals', by Meletopoulos J., Athens, 1971.
