William Osborne Cooper, Enl. 16 Feb. 1918, RTA 31 May 1919, MC.CG 3June 1919: For Conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. In clearing Luck Wood on 23rd August, 1918 he led his platoon against three enemy machine gun nests in succession, and, by his dash succeeded in overwhelming the enemy resistance before the remainder of his company got up.
