CELTIC, Danube Region, Imitation of Philip III, (c.2nd - 1st century B.C.), silver drachm, (3.2 grams), obv. crude head of Heracles to right within circle, rev. Crude Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, traces of monogram before and mixed letters for his name behind. (cf.S.211, Allen & Nash 69 [Pl.6], Gobl Type Atlas No.591.3 [very similar dies], BMC 203). Very fine for type.
