SICILY, Syracuse, (c.480-475 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.22 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SUPAKOSION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair twisted and bound by beaded diadem, four dolphins around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 273 [same dies V125/R189]). Reverse surface abrasion, otherwise good very fine and very scarce.
Boehringer notes only one specimen from these dies.
