MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.1 grams), 'Amphipolis' mint, issued c.315-294 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **L* above torch all to left, cantharus under throne, to right **ALEXANDROV*, (Price 468, BMC 468a-c, Muller 60, cf.S.6713). Good very fine.
