MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.36 grams), Miletus mint, issued c.295-275 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, MI monogram to left, to right **[A]LEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6730, Price 2151, BMC 2151a-d, Muller 1057). About as struck, good extremely fine.
