ALEXIUS III, Angelus-Commenus, (A.D. 1195-1203), Billon aspron trachy, Constantinople mint, (4), obv. Bust of Christ facing, wearing nimbus, legend around, rev. Alexius and St. Constantine standing facing holding cruciform sceptre, legend either side, (S.2011, 2012, H.pl.22, 8-12, and 23, 1-7), tetarteron, obv. half length figure of Virgin, rev. Alexius three-quarter bust facing, legend around, (S.2014, H.pl.23, 8). Fine - very fine.
