NERO, (A.D. 54-68), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 66-67, obv. laureate head of Nero to right, around NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, rev. Jupiter enthroned to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre dotted border, around IVPPITER [CVSTOS], (cf.S.673 (silver denarius), RIC 63, BMC 77). Polished surface, otherwise very good.
