MACEDON, kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.25 grams), Ake mint, issued 330-327 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, in dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, to left monogram, to right ALEXANDROU and three struts on throne, (cf.S.6713, cf.Price 3248). Test cut on obverse, otherwise nearly very fine.
