BITHYNIA, Calchedon, (early to mid 4th century B.C.), silver hemidrachms, (c.2.5 grams), obv. bull standing to left, on ground to left, above **KALA when present, rev. quadripartite incuse squareof mill-sail pattern, (S.3739, SNG BMC Black Sea 118-123 [Pl.V). Mostly off centred on the obverse, fine - very fine. (5)
Part of a small hoard coming with the tetrobols issues from Byzantium in Thrace, included in this sale.
