LYDIA, Tralles, (134-128 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.61 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left TPA, above monogram TPA, to right bust of Helios facing, (cf.S.4746, BMC 24, Kleiner and Noe Series 45 [p.74], similar dies to No.89 [Plate XXVIII,3]). Good very fine and scarce.
