SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.61 grams), Antioch mint, issued year 158 (155/154 B.C.), obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMHTRIOU, and **SWTHROS, monograms to far left of **PA and A over **P, HNP in exergue, (S.7015, SMA Newell 102, BMC 6). Good very fine.
