BACTRIA, Kingdom of, Eucratides I, (170-145 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.27 grams), Balkh M workshop mint, obv. diademed bust of Eucratides to right with dotted border, rev. the Dioskouroi on horseback prancing to right, each holding spear and palm, monogram of MI and A, in exergue **EUKRATIDOU, above **BASILEWS, (cf.S.7570, Mitchiner 169a, Bop. Series 2c). Extremely fine and rare.
