PARTHIA, Kingdom of, Artabanus I, (127-124 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.31 grams), Ecbatana mint, obv. small bare-headed bust to left with beard, wearing diadem, dotted border, rev. archer seated right on omphalos, four line inscription, break ME **GALOU*, (cf.S.7360, Sellwood 20.1 variety, Shore -). Part cut on edge of flan, otherwise nearly very fine and rare, and unpublished variant in legend.
