PARTHIA, Kingdom of, Vologases III, (A.D. 105-147), silver tetradrachm, (10.53 grams), Seleucia mint, issued A.D. 124, obv. bust to left with short beard, wearing tiara with hooks around crest, behind B, rev. king enthroned to left, receiving diadem from Tyche with sceptre, trace only of seven line inscription, G*LU above wreath (year 436), off flan month in exergue, (cf.S.5828; cf.Sellwood 79.17 variant, Shore 410 (this coin). Some red encrustation, otherwise, very fine, scarce.
